Tasked with developing a new flagship violin shoulder rest, DW set out to develop the lightest and best performing shoulder rest on the market. The body was constructed from lightweight carbon fibre to achieve high bending and torsional resistance, while the overmolded forks gave better grip and durability with limited contact to the instrument. An intuitive adjustment and sizing mechanism was developed and patented, and the comfort and ergonomics were improved through the form and padding.
