Consumer-level snowmobiles are not properly equipped for the needs of the military or law enforcement in the arctic, so DW partnered with DEW Engineering to develop a military-grade snowmobile by developing the cowling, alongside a snow-floating system, towing system, and a hood that provided easy access with gloves to the engine for in-field repairs. The cowling was designed to accommodate additional accessories, and could compact to ship more efficiently.
